Condolences

Condolence From: Kathi Petroczy
Condolence: To all of Ray's family and friends, I am sorry this is so late, but I just heard of the sad news. It has been more than a decade since I last saw Ray when he was here in Florida at a turkey meet -- he was a good friend who could always make me laugh no matter how awful the circumstances. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Condolence: To Ray and Ray’s Family,

I have known Ray since 1975, as a skydiver and as a friend. Ray, you were an outstanding skydiver and a great friend. I enjoyed your humor and your company on the ground and appreciated your skill and experience in the air. You enjoyed life to the fullest, and handled life and its ups and downs with humor and intelligence. I am honored to have known you, jumped with you and hung out with you from the days of Stormville in the 70’s through our days at Ferd’s Place and the Ranch. You were a true Sportsman in heart and spirit and we will all miss ‘the Count.’ I know that you will always be with us in spirit.

Shawanga and Blue Skies.

Condolence: I got to know Ray when I got into Skydiving about 15-20 years ago. Being that that is, for me, an intensive and all-consuming sport, I was anxious to learn as much about it as possible. Ray was more than willing to help a "rookie" along and give me the benefit of his years of experience. He helped me a lot when I needed it most. After the days jumping was over, I used to love just sitting around and listening to his stories.

He will be sorely missed.

Condolence: Dear Friends and Family, Ray made the world and the drop zone a special place to be. His humor and friendship was unique, unassuming and genuine. I will always remember his cartoons, films and snake. I will miss him.

Condolence: Dawn, Pat, Catie and Sean,
I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Ray will always be remembered as a fun-loving person who was more like an older brother to Dawn. He always took the time to treat everyone as his equal and open his heart to anyone who needed him.

All my love,
Sheri

Condolence: Dearest Patricia and Dawn, I am so very sorry to hear about Raymond. The last time I was with Raymond was 20 years ago. We met in the City for dinner. I spoke with him 2 years ago in December, hoping to see him when I was in NY again at Christmastime. As we have recently connected, I was looking forward to seeing him and getting to know him. Special thoughts with love are with you now. Jeanne x

Condolence: Dearest Patricia, Dawn, Caitie and Sean, Raymond was my advisor, my mentor and my lover; but most importantly, he was my dear friend. I will miss his huge heart, his wicked smile and outrageous sense of humour. I will miss asking him for advice, I will miss hearing his Bronx accent, and I will miss hearing him tell a story! He was the funniest man I ever met! We last spoke in January; the last words we exchanged were: "Ray, there are some people who get under your skin, and stay there; you're one of those people. I'll love you forever." He said, "Bailey, you're under my skin, too, and I love you, too" It's a beautiful last memory, and how lucky I fee that Ray and I were in a place with each other where we could say it. He blessed my life in many ways! I will keep all of you in my prayers for grace and courage during the time ahead. XO Bailey

Condolence: Dear Patricia and Family,
I am sorry for your loss. Ray was such an unforgettable character and I will miss him. His wonderful sarcastic humor kept his buddies in stitches for years and years and the gift of laughter is precious. My daughters loved him and Uncle Ray the "Tickle Man" was always there in their corner when they were growing up and he was offering to beat the crap out of any guys who were not treating them as he thought they should be treated. His friendship with our whole family was precious and we loved him to pieces! I feel so blessed to have had this friend in my corner always.
Much Love To You All In This Difficult Time,
Mary (the other sis)
