Gloria R. DiSanto
On June 19 ,2014, in the comfort of her daughter and son in law's home, Gloria Rose DiSanto
left this world to join her beloved husband Joseph in heaven.
Gloria was born on June 30,1928 in the Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of Rose and
Bernard Romano and sister to Donald Romano. On June 12, 1948, she married her love, Joe
DiSanto, and together they celebrated 64 wedding anniversaries before he predeceased her
in February, 2013. In 1960 Gloria and Joe moved to Carmel, NY to raise their four children. Gloria
fell in love with “country life”, never wanting to leave Carmel. For many years she was
employed at Guidepost. Family was the center of her life, always enjoying time spent
together with her children, grand children and great grand children, and her large extended
family. She was a parishioner of St. James the Apostle Church.
Gloria is survived by her children, Gary (Jean) of Columbus, NJ, Glenn (Melanie) of
Greenwich, NY, Diane Baran (Jon) of Holmes, NY and Bruce of Carmel, NY, her
grandchildren, Daniel, David, Dawn, Stephanie, Joe, Cheryl, Amanda, Keith, Brett and
Brendon and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Devan, Austin and Savannah. A special thank you to her hospice nurse Deanne for her caring and compassion.
