Obituary for Michael A. Williams

The family of Michael A. Williams of Harrison, New York is saddened to announce his passing on February 21, 2021 at the age of 94. Michael, or Mike as he was known, was born on March 4, 1926 in Harlem, New York to Frank and Mary Williams.

Mike was a retired New York City Sanitation Police Officer, retired product tester at Consumers Union, and was the Town Constable of the Town/Village of Harrison. He was a World War II veteran, who served in the U.S. Army Air Forces, was a proud member of the Harrison VFW Post 3047, and a 3rd degree member of the Harrison chapter of the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed playing the guitar, sketching, sewing, bowling, traveling with his family, and being the loudest and funniest guy in the room.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Annunziata (Luigi); three grandchildren, Anthony (Fran) Annunziata, John (Tonia) Annunziata, and Michael (Sueann) Annunziata; along with six great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Rose Williams (née Abarno), in February 1995.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 11 am on February 25, 2021 at St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison, New York located at 215 Halstead Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be sent to the Gary Sinise Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project, both serving America’s veterans.
